It is considered that life is full of challenges. These challenges might be social, economical, physical and psychological.
The question is that how we perceive these challenges and how we convert these challenges into opportunities. There is not any rocket formula to convert the challenges into opportunities but skills and attitude help us to overcome some of these challenges.
In my opinion, there are two ways to respond these challenges. One way is that you just accept it and start blaming others and curse Allah for these challenges. Other way is that you prepare yourself and fight these challenges with your skills and expertise.
Another option is that Critical Thinking and Problem Solving is the effective ways to overcome these challenges. According to my own experiences and knowledge, majority of Government and private schools do not develop critical thinking and problem solving skills in their daily practices. There is a specific module to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. The British Council has nicely developed some training modules to orient these skills for teachers. When teachers are well versed with these skills they can help students to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. In this regards, British Council continuously negotiating with government departments and high official to implement core skills in their schools and schools systems.
Unfortunately, so far we do not see great impact of these negotiations and meeting. But hopefully we will see a regular feature of teaching and learning in school system.
